Everett Mather has his eye on a house in Plymouth that he believes is where the first Thanksgiving took place. Mary Ross, a successful Boston attorney inherits the house from her late aunt but when Mary visits it for the first time since her childhood, she reconnects with memories & decides not to sell but keep it as a getaway. She quickly finds herself facing the possibility of losing the house to Imminent Domain IF Everett's archaeological findings confirm it is the spot. Fearing an I.D. takeover, a legal battle begins between Mary & Everett while Everett's mom (Lindsey Wagner) quietly befriends Mary as she attempts to learn what happened to cause Mary to hate Thanksgiving so much while romance begins to develop between Everett & Mary
